TRC Newsletter for W/C Monday 17th May

As from Monday 17th May the limit on Groups of 6 meeting outdoors will be increased to 30. We will still meet and run in Groups based on pace times but we can have larger Groups as from Monday. Note we have a Committee Meeting on Monday evening to discuss what TRC is doing in response to the latest Government & EA Updates.

We still need everyone to continue to register with Track & Trace on a Tuesday & Thursday. We are following the EA ‘Return to Activity & Competition Roadmap and hope that when we reach Stage 4, no earlier than June 21st, we can stop using Track & trace

Through the summer months all Groups will be going off road for all or part of the Thursday night runs – please wear appropriate footwear. eg. Trail Shoes. Any questions about the route please contact the leader via the Group Whats App.

Thursday Club Night:
There are WhatsApp groups for each of the run groups below. From time to time the group leaders would like to start their group run from a different location. By having everyone in a WhatsApp group it means this can be quickly and easily communicated to everyone. To join please send your name and which group you would like to be added to by contacting Kevin Wood 07966 634237.

Sunday Morning Runs:

2. Pete Mainstone Challenge KO!
We have 2 volunteers to help Pete with officiating the event on Thurs 27th May. To kick off the ‘2021-22 Pete Mainstone Challenge’ we need as many runners as possible please.
The route, ready to recce, For those who prefer written instructions TRC 10k Club Challenge route Please remember there will be no marshals.

3. Your Club needs You! – Cotswold Way Relay Update
We have three teams entered in this year’s Cotswold Way Relay on Sat 3rd July meaning we need 30 runners + reserves + 3 volunteers. The good news is so far we have 25 runners, 0 reserves and 2 volunteers. So we are looking for 5 more runners, a few reserves and 1 volunteer for this much loved club event. If you would like to apply to join a team, or volunteer, please contact Judy Mills Please note this note event is only open to club members. For those of you who are new to the club the Cotswold Way Relay is a 103 miles, 10 stages race off road race through beautiful Cotswold landscape from Chipping Campden to Bath.

4. EA Nutrition Session Update
Thank you to all those who submitted questions for the EA Nutrition session which have now been sent to EA. They are now talking to a couple of other clubs and will get back to us with a date and time. Watch this space!

5. All the Gear
With events starting to take place and our planned mob meet at parkrun on 5th June now is a good time to upgrade your club kit. Kev C has a stock of T-shirts and vests for sale. Please let Kev know what you would like and when you are available to collect it.
