  1. Basic First Aid & CPR for runners – Monday 20th November 19:00-21:00

 All Members are welcome to come along. Clare Watt will lead the evening session in our usual room – Severnside Suite. It just may save somebodies life if you know how to do CPR and give basic first aid. Bring a cushion & a phone.

  1. Not There Yet

We have had a few more people sign up to marshal this week, but we are still in need of more marshals please. There are about 100 Club members who have not responded. In addition to two tail runners (Annie & Jerry) we need two runners to run as ‘Cut Off’ time runners. These two runners need to be able to get to Littleton in about 1 hour 15 mins, if you would like to do this role please complete the Google form. The event has sold out and we have a long wait list of runners. Please please sign up soon so we can allocate roles, thank you.

Applications are now open for free fundraising places in the Westonbirt 10K 2024 Please  fill out the online application form.

Fundraising Places Information:

  • Applications are open from now until the 21st November.
  • We have a limited number of 15 free fundraising places available.
  • General sale tickets for the race, with no fundraising obligation, go on sale on 10th January 2024 from the Westonbirt Forestry England website.
  • Each participant is encouraged to set a fundraising target of £250.

Please remember if you would like to enter any of the Club 2024 Race Series we ask that Club members fulfil one of pre-race marshal positions. These will be allocated to Club members on a first come first served basis.If you wish to have one of these limited places please contact the Race Directors via events@thornburyrunningclub.co.uk  Members are requested to only enter our races on confirmation from the Race Directors.

  1. Running with Dogs

We are thinking of organising a Run Group for Members who want to bring along their dogs for a run. If you are interested in this “Canicross” group then please see Captain Nick Williams or Vice Captain Melanie.

  1. London Marathon – Sunday 21st April 2024

The Club has one place for the London Marathon. Any Club Member who wishes to be considered for a Club place should read section 8 of the Rules & Constitution and provide the Club Secretary secretary@thornburyrunningclub.co.uk with their ballot rejection email and answers to the selection criteria 2-8 no later than the end of November.
