Paul Saville was 3rd at Thornbury in 21:05 and Melanie Wilson was 2nd female in 24:16.

Some illustrious places were visited by our tourists this week.  Maybe inspired by Neil Roff, John Francksen (40:57) went into the middle of the Irish Sea to run at Nobles, Isle of Man.  Moray Sloan (23:26) and Mary Hill (37:37) were at Sandringham, was Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor in view?  Jason Clark (19:37) was at Brook Leys by the University of Cambridge.  Mike Bennewitz (28:01) was at the original Park Run in Bushy.  Phil Lawrence was at Torvean, Inverness.  Rebecca Hutter (29:30) and Rebecca Acaster (36:38) were at Somerdale Pavilion, Keynsham

4. Park Run of the Month

We are asking members to nominate the date and location for future park runs of the month. The date can coincide with a special event e.g. birthday or milestone e.g. 100th parkrun. The location should be no more than a 30 minute drive from Thornbury. Please message treasurer@thornburyrunningclub.co.uk with your suggestions.

5. Winter Coaching Venue Needed

While Tuesday coaching goes on through the summer on Munday Playing Fields, the coaching team are in need of a venue for the dark nights of winter.  If you know of anywhere that might be suitable with good lighting and a lack of trip hazards then please contact Nick Williams (or any of the committee who can pass it on).  Thank you.
