1. Thornbury 10K Road Race – Thursday 18th June 2026 – Marshall Alert – 10 still needed and a van.
Thanks to all who have signed up to help Marshall the 10k event. We still need another 10+ people to be able to run the event safely.
Also we need a new sweep vehicle and driver for this years event. It’s a really key safety role and also for getting the signs packed up from the course afterwards. Is anyone able to help?
I may not be able to guarantee a beautiful evening out in the sunshine (but fingers crossed it will be). But I can say that we have a great event with friendly runners, lovely club mates to marshal with and a very grateful race director! Go on – you know you want to! Here’s the link to the form – Thornbury 10k Marshalling

3. Weston 5 Mile Prom Run Thursday 21st May and rehydrate afterwards
We’re heading back to the seaside! Mark your calendars for a club trip to Weston-super-Mare for the Weston Prom 5-Mile Race, which will form part of the Pete Mainstone Challenge. Last year was a brilliant evening with almost 40 Thornbury Running Club runners making the trip down the motorway. The club will pay for your entry but you must enter yourself under Thornbury Running Club and claim your entry fee back.
Entries for the May race will open after the April race on 9/4/26, so keep an eye out for further details. We’ll let you know when you can enter. As tradition now dictates… we’ll also be bringing along some well-earned post-race snacks and drinks so we can refuel and rehydrate on the prom.
