What’s On …

  1. Shoe Try On – May 12th

Thursday 12th May will be the Club’s first  shoe try on event supported by Saucony Shoes with Up & Running Bristol from 6:30pm. All the details you need are here. Please arrive in good time to get yourself fitted with shoes before the normal run start time at 7:00pm.

  1. TRC Annual Party & Awards Night – May 20th

Last chance to buy tickets is 8th May, as we need to give final number to the Golf Club on 9th.  Tickets subsidised at £16 person for both Club members and guests Annual Party & Awards Night

  1. Pete Mainstone Challenge (PMC)

The 8 events eligible for this 2022-23 Pete Mainstone Challenge can the rules can be found here. Select 3 events from a list of 8 over the Club year.  The first event will be the Berkeley 10k Road Race 2022 on 9th May

  1. Club Championships

The Club Road Race Championship will take place 9:00 am Sunday 22nd May over the new Thornbury 10k course and is a straight shoot out single race with trophies for 1st female and male runners. This will also serve as a course tester event. We need 8-10 marshals please to be able to run this event. We would like as many people running as possible to make the Club Championship meaningful and to really test the course, please can anyone injured or family & friends be recruited to help out marshalling! Thank you. Anyone wishing to volunteer themselves Kevin Arnold is helping get a marshalling team together.

  1. Cotswold Way Relay

We now have 20 entries for the30 places in the CWR https://cotswoldwayrelay.co.uk/ Your place is not secured until you have paid the £10 deposit, 4 people have yet to pay please. We have entered 3 teams – Quickthorn (a vets team of our ten fastest over 40 female or male runners) and two mixed teams Firethorn and Hawthorn (at least 4 female runners per team).  Please Enter here

  1. Track Update – May

Everyone seems to be enjoying the track session and we have settled into the routine of 2nd and 4th. Tuesdays. On 24th May (4th Tuesday in May) Bristol & West are hosting an open meeting on the track, so in May we will meet at the track 10th & 17th. We are trying to get more details about the open meeting for those interested.
