1. Next Week – Tues & Thursday

Tuesday 5^th is the third EA Run & Coach session with Kerry Newell, Training for 5k PB , is on Tuesday 5^th April at Chantry Playing Fields.

Thursday 7^th is our first Run & Rehydrate  of 2022 from Thornbury Cricket Club. Normal run group starting at 7:00. First drink funded by the club after the run. We will also be presenting Made a Mark, 2021-22 Club charity, with a cheque.

2. Self Defence

This session is for both women and men. Personal safety Krav Maga self-defence session Saturday 28^th May 9:30 – 12:30 at a Club subsidised price of just £9.50 (full price £25.50). We need 20 people for the session first come first served by 29^th April please. Sign up link

3. Club VLM Place

We had three worthy applicants for the Club’s London Marathon place. There are a clear set of criteria which are applied to ensure fairness and transparency. The winner is … Hannah Hamilton. Congrats to Hannah and commiseration to the two other very worthy candidates.

4. Membership Renewal Overdue

5.  Mob Match

We had a team of 44 people signed up for the mob match vs Bitton, which was excellent being Mothering Sunday. COVID and injury hit and we lost 14 people in the last 48 hours and a further 7 no shows on the night. The good news is we won the ladies event, Jo won the individual ladies and Phil the individual men’s events. We were second in the men’s event and the overall event! See here for full results. Hopefully we will have home advantage for the mob match vs Chepstow 11the August and make a clean sweep. If you haven’t read Paul’s race report, you are in for a treat.

6. TRC Annual Party & Awards Night – May 20^th

Please join us for an evening of celebration, laughter, dancing and yummy food at Thornbury Golf Club. Tickets subsidised at £16 person for both Club members and guests.
