  1. ‘New to Running’ course Autumn 2024 – a message from Carol

Thank you to everyone who volunteered to be a Beginners Champion for this course. In spite of the weather at this time of year we had 18 people initially registered. For various reasons; sometimes life gets in the way; we had 9 complete the course and 5 attended the Graduation Parkrun at Berkeley Green. We have coached them to run 5k, not to do cross country. ) They ran times between 28:22 and 32:55!!! Fantastic times for their first parkrun. The feedback has been very positive from people who completed and those who had to drop out and postpone until the Spring.

W will do it all again in Spring 2025 !

Feedback….

  • I’m really enjoying the running and committed to continuing. Thank you and your helpers for the support which was much appreciated.
  • Really hope to see you again for more running.
  • I’m gutted not to continue, I will return in the Spring.
  • I have been really enjoying the sessions, so sad to have to drop out, would love to come back in the Spring.

  • Such a shame we have to pull out as it is such a lovely group of people who I’m sure will do really well. Thank you for welcoming us to the group, we may be back in the Spring.
