- Pete Mainstone Challenge round 3 – Woodchester Park 10k
Sunday 22nd June am. See Jo Plumbley
It’s coming round again- another chance to boost your bid for Pete Mainstone challenge glory or simply to enjoy a social run in the sun. This Sunday (June 22nd) is the free National Trust 10km off road run at Woodchester Park. It’s self timed but we will take your watch timings and use those to register your placings. The start time may mean that not everyone will be after a beer post race but we will see what we can do in the way of refreshments. We will also look at lift shares so let Nathan know if you want to join the WhatsApp group. Pete himself may even visit one of his favourite run spots and be thereto congratulate the finishers. Hope to see you there.
- Nick Williams’ Cotswold Way Challenge 100km
Some of you may be aware that my Dad was diagnosed in December 2024 with Multiple Myeloma, which is a cancer of the plasma cells in the bone marrow. Sadly, he passed away on 7th April after the cancer became more and more aggressive. Before he passed away, I had vowed to run the above event to raise funds for the charity that is seeking to raise awareness of this awful condition, and also to research the disease and medical advancements that may be able to help sufferers enter into remission, or even to find a cure. I will now be running the event on 21st June in memory of my Dad. The charity is Myeloma UK (https://www.myeloma.org.uk/), and I would invite you to take a brief look into their website, which will provide an insight into the disease and that if you are able to, to support me in raising funds, however great or small, to support the charity via this link:- https://www.justgiving.com/page/nick-williams-1

6 . Great Western Air Ambulance (GWAA) – proposed visit by TRC Members
GWAC were very grateful for the £2,050 we presented to them on the evening of our AGM.
“As a way to show our gratitude to the club, we would like to invite anyone interested to an invite-only base tour. This tour offers a unique chance to discover the lifesaving work we provide. Attendees expect a tour of the airbase, learn about a typical day for our Critical Care Team, and potentially meet the crew and view the helicopter and critical care car up close. These events shed light on the charity’s operations, covering everything from lifesaving missions to the advanced equipment and interventions we provide.
Unfortunately, we have a maximum attendee limit of 30. If this event fills up and others wish to attend, we have additional dates throughout the year that I can add them to. If you believe this event would interest people, please let me know”. Hopefully there will be a Google Form available for you to show your interest in a visit on a date to be determined.
