Tea Rota

16/10 TBC

We need some more Members to step-up to do Tea on a Thursday – looking for cover for October.

Results

12/10 Gloucester Cross Country League – Nympsfield

Wonderful start to the cross country season in fine weather with all the club tents and flags flying and plenty of encouragement all round the course.  At the time of the bulletin final results are not yet available.  They should appear here on Monday and club results and standings will be on our cross country results page soon afterwards.

However, we can say that in the ladies race we had full teams out with Mel Wilson leading home, followed by Hannah Hamilton, Jo Plumbley, Ros Rowland and Catherine Dack.

The men’s Over 65s started with a team and Nick Langridge led Chris Foley in but Jerry Clothier, unfortunately, had a fall and was forced to drop out.  Recover soon, Jerry.

The men were one short of a full team (where were you all?) but did have enough vets to make up a vets team.  Matt Johnstone led early on, closely followed by Martyn Greene and Sam Baimbridge.  By lap 3 Matt was pulling away and Sam starting to find it hard going.  Meanwhile George Evans who had been trailing behind made a stronger second half and picked off Alex Golding and Sam to come third with Sam and Alex behind.

Full results next week.

If you now regret missing all the shenanigans of cross country and running as a team – and you should – you can still enter each of the remaining three events individually, help the teams out and still get your free waterproof duffel bag.
