Family Fun Day
Sunday saw the club’s first Family Fun day on a glorious sunny day. Over 70 people young and older enjoyed sack races, egg and spoon, skipping races, wheelbarrow races and tug of war. Great fun, lots of laughter, excellent company and good food.
A BIG thank you to Emma Pritchard, Nikki Foss and Chris Pritchard for all their hard work to make it a faultless event.
Sunday 24th November: The Bicton Blister. Pete is organising a coach trip again this year. Don’t forget you have to enter the race individually direct . Let Pete know if you want a coach seat (£10 per person)
TRC Website. We are seeking an individual who knows something about web sites to help us maintain & improve the TRC website. If you are interested please see Nick Langridge, Dave Beard or Steve Dimond.
Personal Alarms: With the Winter season unfortunately approaching we all may have no choice but to run alone in the dark. The police have already recommended taking additional precautions as detailed earlier on our Facebook page but there is an extra step we all can take. Sean Underwood kindly let the club have a few personal alarms (which have been distributed) for review. The club is considering placing a bulk order for these alarms with the supplier. If you would like one please can you send an email to ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’ by 10pm on Sunday 22nd September so we can gauge the demand. The cost of the alarms each is likely to be in the region of £5 which the Club is looking to fund.
Results reporting: Finally, if you want to see your results on the TRC website and in the papers please make sure you enter any races as “Thornbury RC”. This also applies to your parkrun profile. If you are not down as Thornbury RC we cannot guarantee your results will be picked up
Please send any results for publication to Matt Johnstone email@example.com
