Hello from all the team at PHASE,
Some of you may know Ben Burch who lives in Olveston. He is doing something special on Saturday and we would like to invite you all to join us (socially distanced of course) to come together as a community and support PHASE. We are joining with ALLEGR www.allegr.org set up by Ben Burch.
Ben is running for 12 hours non-stop, in 12 different locations (covid permitting) in each of the 12 months of this year. For his Febuary event he is going to be running a 6k loop near his home in Olveston on Sat Feb 20th from 7am until 7pm. He has kindly asked PHASE to be one of the local charities he supports alongside the main charity The Samaritans.
All you have to do is walk, run, cycle or scoot a 6k route between 7am and 7pm on Sat 20th Feb and together we will raise money for charities dealing with the many mental health and loneliness consequences of society having been forced to distance.
Ben wears a yellow wig while he runs and you are invited to do the same or anything yellow so others can spot you from a social distance on the day. Knowing we are coming together for the same important causes would be a fun way of being able to connect with each other. Phase is still working hard to support our vulnerable young people in this socially isolated time. Fundraising is vital to keep our services running and this is a great opportunity for us to raise awareness and most needed funds for PHASE.
Will you join us? Wearing something yellow? On Saturday 20th Feb?
Please post your 6k pics on our instagram page Phase4youngpeople. Go solo, go with your family or your support bubble. You can then donate to either cause or both! at www.allegr.org/blogs/campaigns/february.
Please use this challenge as your daily exercise. We would like everyone to stay safe and adhere to the lockdown rules.
Thank you.
