- Club Xmas Lights Run & Food – Thursday 16th December
Could everyone planning to come to the ‘Xmas Lights Run & Food’ please complete the poll by Fri 3rd December. We have 35 replies so far. The event is always very popular and this number is lower than a regular Thursday. Please complete the poll to let us know you are coming and about your dietary needs / food allergies so we get the catering right. Xmas Lights Food The food is provided free to club members. For those new to the club the traditional ‘Xmas Lights Run’ is where everyone runs from Thornbury Cricket Club to see the Xmas lights. When we get back to the club house there are showers before food is served. FAQ:s
Q1: I want to go a bit further / faster than the main group. A: This is what normally happens and smaller groups do loops to re-join the main group. We need to arrive back at the same time to get showered.
Q2: I cannot make the run but would like to join for the food. A: That’s fine, this is a club social event we’d love to see you there.
- Riverbank Rollick – Sunday 16th January
Thank you to those who have already volunteered to help. We have 29 volunteers and need at least 60 to deliver the event successfully. From the three club events we make a profit which allows us to fund ‘Run & Rehydrate’, ‘Xmas Light Run’ food, pay individuals cross country entry fees, % on T-shirts, EA membership subsidy etc. We ask members not to enter the event but to join in as marshals. There may be roles that can be completed in advance, allowing some people to enter. Please let us know your availability to marshal by completing the poll at Riverbank Rollick Please complete the poll by Friday 3rd December at the latest. Thank you. No need to complete if you have already e-mailed or messaged Jo previously. We will be organising a Sunday run over (most of) the course on a date close to the event for those who want the mud experience and to see where their Marshal points are.
