16 runners turned out for the Bradley Stoke 10K on a fine day for running and there were yet more changes at the top of the leader boards. In the men’s Nick Langridge has now taken over and has an unassailable lead in the age related category but can still be beaten for the club championship. And with Mike Bennewitz now in second place it’s up to Dylan Roberts, Paul Harrod and Paul Thomas to turn out at Woodchester and stop the pensioners from sweeping the board. Dylan was the clear leader in on Sunday with Nick and Paul Thomas having a real tussle for 2nd place over the last 5K. Nick just got a few seconds in the last K to hold off Paul by 5 seconds but Paul had started off from further back so actually had a faster chip time by 3 seconds.
In the women’s race Colette Jackson and Clare Watt also had a close race with Colette prevailing by a handful of seconds to come in first for the club and taking over the leadership of the championship.
